Located in one of Madrid’s most traditional areas, very close to Plaza Mayor, this residence was renovated for an urban art collector, creating a dialogue between the classical architecture of the property and the contemporary character of her collection.

The project preserves and restores the original elements of the residence, respecting its identity and reinforcing the value of the existing spaces. The new plaster mouldings restore a classical air to the rooms, bringing rhythm, depth and continuity to the whole.

Against this serene backdrop, the urban artworks introduce colour, contrast and a strong sense of personality. Architecture and interior design act as a framework for the collection, allowing the pieces to coexist naturally with the traditional elements.

The result is a distinctive and sophisticated residence in which the memory of historic Madrid meets a fully contemporary way of living and understanding art.
